Operator Guide and Counterplay: Both Sides of the Most Expensive Gun

Playing the Operator

  • At 4700 it is the most expensive gun in the game. Body shots deal 150 (lethal); legs deal 120, the only non-lethal hit — aim slightly low to widen the hit area
  • Stand still to be accurate. Scoping on the move throws the shot badly
  • Two zooms: 2.5x for most duels (15-35m), 5x only for lanes past 40m
  • Shoot and reposition. Firing reveals you; unscoping and taking a new angle is mandatory. Never repeek the same angle
  • Save it. If a round is lost, carry the Operator into the next one — 4700 saved beats a heroic death. Reload and weapon swap lock you in place for about 1.5 seconds, your most vulnerable window

Playing against an Operator

  • Recon before you peek: use utility to confirm he is holding the lane, and where
  • Smoke and flash together: you have an 8-second window, or he re-holds the angle
  • Double peek: he must cycle the bolt after one shot; a second angle is what he fears
  • Force him to move: an Operator loses accuracy when repositioning. Utility and pace push him off the angle and hand you control
