Peeking Fundamentals: Wide, Jiggle, Shoulder and Crouch Peek

Four basic peeks

  • Wide peek: swing out while holding the direction, stop instantly on contact, fire, then tuck back. For confirmed duels — and you must complete the stop, or your bullets fly
  • Shoulder peek (jiggle): tap the key to expose only your head, leaving most of the body in cover. Lowest risk, best for probing an unknown position — one shot and back
  • Fake peek: flash out and back without firing. This baits shots and utility: they burn ammo, a flash or a smoke, and you then attack for real. Key to corner stalemates
  • Crouch peek: crouch as you swing to change your head height. They pre-aim the standing head line; crouching makes their crosshair miss and buys you the first shot. For 1v1 corners — and move after the shot

Which peek for which situation

  • Long-range corner standoff: shoulder or fake peek
  • Confirmed duel: wide peek
  • 1v1 corner mind game: crouch peek

Common errors

  • Holding the key until most of your body is out
  • Firing while still moving
  • Greedy shots instead of returning to cover
  • Using one peek for every situation
