Split Guide: Vertical Ropes and the Fight for Mid

The frame

Set in Tokyo and the first map with ropes, both A and B are multi-level: A has tower height, B has a garage and a second floor.

Attacking

  • Do not blindly rush A Main or B at the start: A has Heaven support, while B has Omen blinds plus Sage slows and a wall
  • Send solo probes on the flanks and control mid with the rest: a clean mid push lets you pinch B, and a messy one still burns the defenders' key utility
  • Contest B Heaven: the standard is an Omen flash plus a Skye dog to clear the front; expect a utility reply, so exhaust theirs first
  • Hit A with double smokes: cover Heaven and the A lanes, and use a box jump to place a camera mid-air for info

Defending

  • A common setup: Cypher or Killjoy on A, Omen on B, Sage mid
  • Sage walls mid early to block the fast push, then falls back to support B Heaven
  • Watch the rope entrances: an enemy climbing a rope is the best shooting window

Retake mode

Split is in the Retake queue: Breach can drop his ultimate on B Heaven, and a Fade plus Neon combo can rush mid.
