Icebox Defense: Three Ways to Hold B and the Right Composition

The frame

An Arctic research facility with abundant vertical space — ziplines and multi-level structures. A is layered; B is tighter. B's retake is fixed and is the heart of any defense.

Composition

A common strong setup: Viper, Killjoy, Jett and Sova are core, with a fifth as Reyna for double duelist or Harbor for double controller.

Three ways to hold B

  • Slow drag (most common): Killjoy puts her turret in the kitchen and her alarmbot in the mid smoke area, holding mid without a body; Viper places poison behind the yellow container and holds from the back. On a hard plant, Viper pops poison plus a molly and Killjoy adds two — roughly 20 seconds of delay for the A side to rotate
  • Forward hold: Viper throws a one-way on B tunnel, and two players split the site and the yellow box, holding off the one-way. The yellow box gives room to move; keep a crossfire with your site partner
  • Aggressive three: Jett plays the yellow wall vertically while Reyna listens from the white box — high value, high risk, since the enemy can clear vision with drones and utility

Ice detail

On attack, footsteps on ice are far louder. Walk the last few metres even if it costs two seconds — being heard halfway in is a common way to lose the round.
