Jett Advanced Guide: Dash Combos and Entry Timing

Ability priorities

  • Tailwind (E): dash in on attack, dash out on defense — saving it to survive beats using it to travel
  • Updraft (Q): reach the high angle, rooftops and box tops
  • Cloudburst (C): smoke a lane so you or a teammate can cross
  • Blade Storm (X): eight lethal knives, left-click to reset, right-click to one-shot. Best when the enemy is not yet set on site

The classic combo

Updraft to high ground, scope and clear the anchor, dash forward — then after the kill, dash back the way you came. One in, one out: the dash is always the way home.

Entry timing

A duelist is not the first to die but the first to eat information: an Initiator flashes or recons, you go in, confirm it is safe, then call your team. Entering before your team is in position is a gift.

Common errors

  • Using the dash to travel, then having nothing left when you are pinched
  • Knifing into smoke blindly and standing still on landing
Jett's strength is aim x timing. No amount of movement matters if the first bullet misses.
